My beautiful kind loving mother, grandmother, auntie was sadly taken by this horrible virus… So so unfair I couldn’t go to her in her time of need she must of been terrified in that hospital bed. Missed every day.

Vanda was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and friend. Always full of life and kindness, she would go out of her way to help others and make the world a better place. Loved & remembered every day.

Professor Carl Tighe, born in Handsworth Birmingham and taught creative writing at the University of Derby. In 2000 he founded the first undergraduate degree in creative writing in the UK. He is survived by 6 siblings.
