He settled in the UK in 1954. On 7th July 1976, he became the UK’s first South Asian class one HGV driver. In his 32-year long driving career, he drove across UK and Europe. He loved travelling and had many different interesting stories to tell and encountered many different people along the side.

Dad would have been 100 in December 2020. We were all expecting to celebrate this special birthday with him. He was tested positive in early April and recovered. He didn’t die of Covid but died from abandonment & neglect
